The Insignia of Genesic
Genesic (ジェネシク, Jeneshiku) is the name of the mysterious group of unknown beings who are supposedly responsible for continuously sending high level mysterious beings to earth in hopes of destroying him civilization. They are a primary antagonistic presence in one punch: the dark one, up until their true intentions are revealed and they become one of nagoya's most valuable allies in fighting against the tyrannical earth defense force, after exposing their totalitarian master plan of dominating planet earth.

- The premise behind genesic's status as mysterious extradimensionary beings who continuously produce and attack earth with mysterious beings has been taken directly from the role that the precursors in pacific rim play. The actual role, and public presence which they play in the series can be equated to the image held by the aogiri tree organization of tokyo ghoul, as genesic is inspired heavily be the public enemy and terrorist reputation which the aogiri ghouls have in modern society.
